Back to the book. This time a contact play by Fujisawa Hideyuki against Hasegawa Sunao. Regrettably Takagi does not date this, but he gives another example (also undated) which he says is much older than this game and which, he thinks, is the first example in play. In that one he was Black, and he was trying it against new fuseki specialist Shirae Haruhiko. This opening has also been tried since Takagi's book came out, for instance by Kataoka Satoshi against Yuki Satoshi in the 1995 Meijin League.
