You're feeling very sleepy, too, aren't you? So Daddy's not going to show you the BIG ladder. Instead you can see it on the GoGoD CD Daddy is going to buy for you. You know you keep complaining what you have on your computer is so boring. Well, on this CD, there's masses and masses of stuff all about go. You'll never find your computer is boring again!

But I will let you into a secret. This BIG ladder takes 297 moves and ends in a seki. It must be the biggest go puzzle in the WHOLE world! It's called the Wizard comes down to the World of Men.

Actually, it wasn't so hard and the little girl was able to solve it even without the wizard's magic spells. But after picking up and carefully putting down 297 stones you can imagine how tired she was. So tired, in fact, she decided she would have a little lie down. She went upstairs and was lucky to find three beds: a little one, a middle-sized one an a big one. She curled up on the little one and was soon fast asleep.

Meanwhile, three bears were just arriving at the house: Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear and Baby Bear. They were a little grumpy because they had just come back from a go tournament where a Referee Bear had told they must all concentrate very, very hard because they had to use his new rules, which he had written down very, very carefully on 297 sheets of paper. So they now all had a terrible headache and decided doing ladder problems was much more fun.

But as they went into the kitchen they saw with horror that their ladder problems had all disappeared - there were go stones everywhere! Baby Bear cried, "Somebody's been messing around with my ladder." And Mummy Bear cried, "And somebody's been messing around with my ladder!" As for Daddy Bear, well, he was already so cross he ex-plo-ded, and the enormous noise he made woke up the little girl. Terrified, she jumped out of the window and ran off through the forest.

Luckily, she had been doing so many ladder moves that her legs followed her brain and took her in zigzaggy but straight lines and so was soon able to get out of the forest and back near the lights of home, where she lived happily ever after.

Time to put the lights out here, sweetie pie. Night, night.
