A nod of appreciation

Enough of pro mistakes. Now something for connoisseurs. Spectacular moves on the second line are often among the most exquisite moves in go, especially when played inside an enemy territory. Such moves can seem like cutting someone's throat and then bleeding them to death.

Sakata Eio was famous for this, hence his nickname of the Razor. His games, incidentally, are notoriously difficult to input fast because so many of his moves are not where you expect to find them. He had a habit of dotting round setting time bombs by playing early forcing moves - and of playing on the second line.

But the rather nice example here is by Cho Chikun in the recent 19th Fujitsu Cup against Kataoka Satoshi. You need to play over the rest of the game to appreciate it, and so it is given here - you will have to make your own paper copy if you want to add hairs to your chest :)
